We're still alive and well!

Karys is into everything.

Lyra just had a growth spurt and is trying to read.

Solomon lost his two front teeth.

Silas has more neighborhood friends than anybody I know.

Micah is most curious about science these days.

Noah is playing football for our cover school. He loves it.

Landon is on the lookout for a 15 passenger van for our family so I will be driving the equivalent of a small bus around town.

At least we won't be crowded.

Just out of curiosity, why not a 12-passenger? We LOVE ours and I have had absolutely no regrets about buying it!! :)

We were advised to go for the 15 passenger and take the back seat out for extra cargo space for camping trips and trips to GA (we need it). And then there's the fact that the kids need room to spread out. Having 11 seats for 8 people will give room for them and all their stuff (crayons, books, etc) on long trips and still give us room for all of our junk in the back.

And who knows if we will or won't end up with some more kids one of these days......:)

Haven't caught up with you in a long time! Hope life is good. Everyone looks great in this picture and your kids are all growing! Wow.

We need to get a new car when money allows and I have no idea what to get. I happened to have a car that barely fit our kids when we brought them home so we put off getting something new (to us). But since the first of the year we have started to put money into it and it really isn't worth it. We want something with room for the 6 of us, 8 would be great. But we need storage room too. Don't want to spend a fortune and we have no idea what to look at. Any ideas? Seems like lots of minivans don't have much room in the back and the ones that do end up costing much more. We may just get one and a big top storage container or something.

It is hard to believe Lyra and your sons are not biologically related. They couldn't look much more alike!

God bless.

You could look for a 12 or 15 passenger van on Craigs List or check Enterprise to see if they will trade your current vehicle for a 12 or 15 passenger van. They can find you one pretty much immediately, the prices are good and they trade which saves you the hassle of selling. That's what we are doing. They are giving us blue book value for our truck. If you get a big van, you can take the back seat out and use that for cargo space for when you go camping etc. We definitely need the extra space so we are getting the 15 passenger (bus). We have on headed our direction right now so hopefully the next long trip we take will be less crowded:).

We need to plan that camping trip we were talking about...

Yes, we would love to go camping! Maybe this summer. So far the only camping we have done with the kids was in Kevin's parents yard before their house was finished. :P Doesn't really count if you get a real shower, but we did sleep on a slope in a tent with geese honking all night, so we get some credit!

I am guessing Kevin will not go for the 12 passenger van idea simply because he will think I am trying to weasel him into more kids. He isn't quite on board yet with adopting more in the future, but he doesn't know I am praying for a change of his heart over the next few years. ;) We will likely end up with a minivan I am guessing. We need to do some research there though.

Karys looks so much like her oldest brother to me. What a sweetie! The pictures of the two girls together are adorable. Sisters. :)

Take care.
