We woke up this morning to a nice little snowfall. The last one we had was right after we moved in to this house 3 years ago so you can imagine how excited the boys were this morning. I was going to make them wait until after breakfast to go out and play in it but the two neighbor girls showed up at about 7:45 with a boogie board that they were planning to use for a sled so the boys went right out to join them in their nice, long, sloped driveway.
It was raining on and off all morning so of course, everyone was soaked to the skin and I ran the dryer constantly all morning trying to dry the gloves and coats between each trip out the door. They have been in and out a hundred times. We have the fireplace cranked up so everyone (including the neighbors) has been in to warm up and throw their clothes in the dryer.
We took the day off of school and chores for the most part although I did make everyone pick up and put away 20 things since the house was beginning to look like a federal disaster zone.
Our first family canoe trip:)
